Ding! Winnah!
Actually it’s about a hundred songs. Very nicely done. Open E tuning. I believe an early Sweet Home Chicago had the same riff. I think it comes from Mississippi. Those guys traveled to Chicago and influenced Chicago blues heavily. Sonny Boy Williamson Charlie Patton Robert Johnson Son Seals Lead Belly What is the specific song? Is it Dust My Broom? By who? There is also a song called Diggin My Potato’s and Crack Headed Woman that have similar structure and riffs. |

Dust My Broom - Elmore James version in open D tuning. The song has been covered by pretty much everyone who’s picked up a guitar.
My acoustic has fairly low action which makes slide a bit of a challenge. As soon as you lay the slide down you’re about fretting out. |

I saw a video somewhere that said a lot of players do it intentionally to get a combination of slide notes and crisper, fretted notes. I can’t play slide beyond Dust My Broom to save my life. |
