If you're asking how many will be allowed into Heaven after death I would say there's reason to be optimistic.

Perhaps that is the basis for wiki claiming it is rooted in victimhood psychology. They're resigned to endure whatever is afflicting them until being saved by something and that isn't going to benefit them if they're dead.

Beats me how they came up with the idea that Heaven is open to the living though. The only people we know of with any experience in the matter are returned from the dead. Does not compute.
