It's been known for decades that the food pyramid is complete bullshit. Adult humans DO NOT have ANY need to consume dairy, at all. I like cheese, and eat it somewhat regularly, but I can't remember the last time I had a glass of milk.

No, not really. Sometimes when the kids are home, they want "Daddy milkshakes", and I will make them and have a few sips of one. It's been at least a year since they requested that, so I haven't had any ice cream in more than a year.

Even though my diabetes is relatively mild, I still have to be careful about how much sugar and carbs I eat/drink. Having even a small bowl of ice cream would mean I have to give up 2-3 beers, and although I like ice cream, it simply isn't worth it. It is what it is.
