Thumbs up Clay bar... I'm sold!

Taking a break from claying the Vette and all I can say is boy it's already making a difference! I wanted to clay the car to see if I could get off the little spots all over the rockers that I can never get off and not only is it taking those off but it's throwing a mean reflection now too! I did the plastic bag trick before I started and you could really feel the crap in the finish and afterward it's smooth as glass! It even cleaned up my clear bra and I'm going to do the glass as well.

Oh yeah... props to whoever posted the tip about cutting the clay in half because I already dropped one piece and had to toss it.

I will swear by the clay bar from now on. Gotta get back to work now.

I can point you to a product that works as well as the clay bar, but lasts longer and doesn't leave any funk on your hand. If you drop it, you just wash it off. Let me know if you're interested in more info.

Post it up! The Clay Bar Coalition can't get you here.

You better not say Mr. Clean Magic Eraser though.

Here's my post on it from when I first joined up here:

https://www.thevettebarn.com/forums/d...ternative.html

I'll be honest, after using only clay bars this product seemed a little weird. I just couldn't understand why it worked so well. Using is believing, and I used the crap out of it last summer detailing cars. It's still going strong, and I love not getting my hands all jacked up with clay.
