Snik: FWIW, I have a Brother that has barely spoken to me in the last 20 years. I also had a ring-side seat to a close family friend drinking herself to death. It's not as uncommon as some would try to get you to believe.

Yeah, I was wondering how you would mount it to display. I hung my plastic model from the ceiling in my bedroom as a kid with clear monofilament line (facing the Klingon ship), and I imagine the actual TV Enterprise model in the Smithsonian also hangs but can’t remember. The sequenced landing lights leading into the shuttle bay are brilliant (no pun..). Good luck with your pre-check mission Scotty!

My wife is going through a family disowner-ship since last fall over the estate. Prior to it all, my wife and sister were very close. Then the blow out and nothing. The brother was the executor and he went against moms wishes and the sister backed him up.

Financially she still collected a jaw dropping number but its how he did it and took money that was not his. She has occasional conversations with him but it will never be the same.

Wife fell and broke/shattered her wrist the other day. I sent them both texts on it. He called so I give him credit for that but she has not yet.


Add to it is our dentist of 29 years! Last week we get a call from some dental facility to set up and appointment? It's like wtf are you talking about? Oh we are taking his patients, he's retiring.

I left him a review on Yelp and some others with my name on it all but telling him to go fk himself
