People are so dumb and rude...
Two examples come to mind:
First, why can't delivery people (FedEx., USPS, UPS, etc.,) figure out where I live? I live in a suburb with a numbered mailbox and house; I have a shared driveway with my neighbor; the driveway is 16' wide, my mailbox is on the left side of the driveway, and I live n the house on the left side of the driveway. My neighbor's mailbox is on the right side of the driveway, and he lives in the house on the right side of the driveway. Pretty simple, huh? Not to the delivery people. They invariably leave packages addressed to me at my neighbor's house; almost every day he walks over a package for me. I had an e-mail this morning from FedEx that a package was delivered to me last night; it isn't at my front door. Wanna bet where it is? Next is the rude window operator at the fast food places. I wait in line in my car for my turn; I place my order, go to the next window to pay, they take my money, and then ask me to move ahead, and my order will be brought to me when it's ready. Why didn't they tell me when I ordered that my food won't be ready for another several minutes? I would have then ordered something else; it is fast food, isn't it? (BTW, the McDonald's in my little City now has 5 spaces you can move ahead and park and wait; isn't that a lot of spaces???) The last time this happened the burly man at the window told me to move ahead. I refused; he asked if I wanted my money back. I told him I wanted my food, not money back. He said, "If you don't move, I'll come out and make you move." "I'm waiting for you," I said. He didn't show. Isn't life hard enough without idiots and rude people? |

I rarely agree to move ahead. You can barely taste the spit anyway.

Yeah, nothing is more enjoyable than to be behind someone who ordered 10 things, some without onions or mustard or whatever, and then they refuse to move ahead so you can grab your McDouble.
I like the way Sonic does it. They don't make you move ahead hardly ever. Instead they will walk out and do quick orders that are waiting for the asshat who orders six meals at the FRIGGIN' DRIVE-THROUGH, giving them their drink or small order of whatever and taking payment right at your door. The reason it's infuriating that people make large orders at the drive-through is Sonic has about 80 places you can pull in, look at the menu, press the call box button, place your big-ass order, and it will be brought out to you, holding up zero other people. This is too simple for many people to figure out. |

Years back at my first house I had a electric powered vent in my attic. Had to get a new roof and made it a point to tell the roofer boss about the vent.
The yahoos he had working for him ripped the vent off broke the electric and of course said nothing. (Ever thing else they did they did it fine) I went up to the attic because I did not hear the vent run and saw the broken wire. Stopped the boss just as he was leaving. He looked at it and was genuinely apologetic. Said he was in a hurry as the job took longer than he thought and if he gave me a $100 bill back would I fix it with no hard feelings so he could leave. I said yes and he gave me the money. Simple easy fix, I had what was needed and it took about 5 minutes. Easiest $100 I ever made. |
