Stupid lying freaking idiots

Ordered three large cans of diced clams so my wife can make her delicious clam chowder. FedEx tracking says that they'll be delivered today.

Get an email from the company I ordered it from saying they were delivered at 4:14 PM.

Go out on the front porch at 4:40 PM and no box. Look on the side deck and behind the house ( we have a wrap around driveway).

Talk with my wife and she had the dog outside before and after the "alleged" delivery time and did NOT see any delivery trucks or vans.

So it was either delivered to another house or the asshat just marked it delivered to lighten the load.

The house is clearly marked with the house number on the mailbox post and we have the reflective house numbers on the lamp post about 10' from the road.

USPS for the win. Our Post person drove 1/4 mile down my driveway to deliver a certain package from Pennsylvania to my front porch this week. Didn't even drive over the lawn trying to turn around either!

If I knew they were going to use FEDEX, I probably would have ordered from someone else.

Fedex where we live sucks so bad, I have not ordered from places because they ship Fedex only.
They deliver to the neighbors 90% of the time, guess the whole numbers on mailbox thing throws them off. They drive a huge box van here and with our narrow roads, ditches and narrow drives it's usually a 4 point turn just getting in the driveway. I shit you not we have to flag the idiots down, I send the son out to the street with a chair and a flashlight as its been 10pm getting deliveries.
Dumbass drove thru the yard headed for the neighbors driveway with standing water in the yard and buried his truck, I wasn't home and told the neighbor didn't give a shit let them tow it.
It's never the same driver either which makes zero sense.

I had a fedex package a couple months ago that was "out for delivery" 3 days in a row. And every night it went back to the terminal..I would get an email saying the driver didn't/couldn't complete his route. They finally promised on Friday night it would be delivered on Monday.

Driver shows up on Sunday when I'm out of town, leaves the box just inside the porch door standing on end so it was visible from the street instead of laying it flat and out of sight.

I got one better on FedEx incompetence.

We had a Pay It Forward here one year. A member in NC sent what I claimed here to PA. For over TWO WEEKS I keep getting messages on my phone saying they couldn't find my house and to call "this number" to leave directions to my house.

So every night for most of that two weeks I would call , leave directions to my house and sure as shit, the next night another message when I got home.

I started getting a short on my messages towards the end and kept saying my house was built in 1945 and has had the same mailing address and HAS NOT MOVED in over 70 years.

Finally a manager called, I explained once again how to get to my house ( three roads from the center of town and they are all straight roads) and told them if they were too incompetent to deliver it to my house, to leave at a certain business in town, right next to the post office as I was friends with the owner.

It actually showed up the next day.

Aren't most FedEx delivery people independent contractors? You would think that they would actually GAS. Yeah, they are pretty bad. I have a couple of old .mil buddies that fly for them, you want me to call them and cuss them out?

I understand shit happens but it seems to happen way too many times with fedex.

FedEx ground service are contracted employees, premium overnight drivers are company folk.

From what I see both classes are either awful drivers AND/OR have shitty trucks. Yes I live over a 1/4 mile from road on a nasty hilly driveway. I do the plowing and sanding in the winter. UPS, USPS others seem to make it OK. My wife gets a lot of delivered stuff. I'm giving you 20 years of our history.

For a fact the FEDX trucks are not as capable as other outfits. As for me I'm a retired CDL driver and have went into many bad places. (I did that job for a few years after I retired from my construction job!)

If we get a choice on delivery we telll them no FedX

Our Fedex guy here is awesome. He works his ASS off too. We see him every day running from the truck to the door, leaving the package, and running back to the truck. The last time I got a package from them, it came at 9:30 at night, he said I was his last stop for the night, that he left the terminal for his first run at 6:00 am. All I had in my pocket was a $10 bill, so I gave it to him. He seemed very appreciative.

I had that same exact thing happen with a custom order that I waited 2-3 months for...cost a small fortune for it to be made, so I pretty much told them they better find where they delivered it to and bring it here. Luckily it was on my front porch the next morning.

Just ordered something from a different company and just saw that they shipped it FedEx...oh, goody
