Default Who's cooking out tomorrow?
I want to, but it's 102 degrees outside. Standing near a 400 degree BBQ grill just doesn't sound appealing. Don't let me stop you, though. Whatcha cooking?

Just do something that can slow cook and won't require you standing over the grill all day like a brisket or something. I may do a tri-tip. Put on grill, close grill, flip once, close grill, remove from grill.

My understanding is that it's illegal to use the grills at parks due to a burn ban in the state.

That's a thought. Maybe a chicken with a can of beer up its ass. Make some German tater salad. What else?

No shit? We're tinder dry, dry here, but have heard of few fire bans, no fireworks bans where it's otherwise legal.

About the same here; in the food business, we can't be fukin' off if a customer is looking for their truck.
We're doing our blow out fireworks/grill out bonanza this weekend instead.

Another option we often use when it's too hot is to use a crock pot or electric roaster and just put it on the workbench out in the garage.

I'm cooking ribs, and Karen is prepping side dishes and breakfast casseroles, to take with us to a cabin we rented for Thursday through Sunday.

Many towns won't be doing a fireworks display. We went about a month without rain.
