We purchased a 40' RV last year. I can fit almost anywhere for camping and while you need to be careful there are few driveways or gas stations that I can't get into.

Height is more of an issue than turn radius.

If you have 40 feet in between two trees You should have no problem turning in one shot. What has the most to do with real tight turns are your truck hitch and the frame design of your trailer.

You're towing with a van? You're fucked. Vans don't turn worth shit. Even my '90 4wd Suburban turned a tighter radius than the lowtop conversion van we had.

The van will turn in a 40' radius without breaking a sweat. I'm more worried about the van/trailer combo.
