Owner came around the shop today with a few cases to hand out. Local distillery in Bucks County PA , Faber Distilling Co https://www.fabereasydrinking.com/welcome is making Hand Sanitizer and we all got a liter bottle of it.

I don't think your local distillery is ginning up Methanol; the wood alcohol which is the poisonous one. Ethanol AKA Everclear etc. is probably the base for that sanitizer. If there are no other additives like lotions or surfactants or gelling agents it would make an excellent cocktail.

Some of the distillers in Texas are doing that, too. Full bottles will become collectors items in the future. Shutting down the country will make the history books. I've got some WWII ration coupons that I inherited from my grandparents. Collectors items.

The only time I ever got a flu shot was the year I had to do chemotherapy. Never got the flu. Always said that the key was to keep enough alcohol in the system. 🥃🥃🥃

And zinc

I do a Zinc & Magnesium supplement daily. I never get sick. Even if Mrs Flex gets sick I never do.

When the Wu flu threat was just cranking up, I figured I'd stock up on cold and flu medicine, but couldn't find zinc lozenges, which I remember using for a sore throat decades ago. Checked Amazon, sure enough....found them, and these have vitamin C and echinacea in them I got 4 bottles, delivered today.

the zinc lozenges usually stopped a sore throat from becoming anything worse, if I was consistent about using them.
