They didn’t and still don’t because he couldn’t be bribed with sex or money like most career politicians can. He showed that one could actually solve problems versus talking about them endlessly. DeSantis may not be as bad as some like Romney but if he continues as governor, continues to do decent in Florida, then he will be an easy yes vote in 2028.

Well, if nothing else, the Republican primary will be interesting now. We don't know who is going to win...heck, maybe even someone not named Trump or DeSantis will win (not likely, but you just never know).

Given the current candidates, I'll vote for DeSantis in the primary and whomever gets the nomination in the general election.

My main point (which I know I'm repeating) is that DeSantis has a much better chance of beating Biden or whomever they get to replace Biden. Trump can't do any of the cleaning house some of y'all think he will do if he doesn't win and chances are he will not win.

So, go vote for whomever you'd like in the primary....and then vote for DeSantis in the general election against the democrats.

What you are forgetting is that tomorrow morning the DeSantis hate tour begins.

The democrats and their media partners (along with the deep state and justice department as needed) will convince most sheeple that DeSantis is Hitler and his darling wife is a New Orleans whore.

DeSantis raped me when I visited Florida. I've been too traumatized to speak up until now. The fact that he's now running for president is just a happy coincidence. Also, I have it on good authority that Ron is colluding with foreign countries to interfere in the election, he cheated on his wife, and he has unreported gambling winnings. Also, and you heard it here first, he committed campaign finance violations that, unlike O6ama, Hillary, Bush, and everyone else who pays a fine, need to be punished criminally, with jail time. That indictment is coming, trust me.

And now with all that, how can you support Ron? He has waaay too much baggage. Wouldn't it be better to find another candidate who doesn't have that baggage?

Fair point that Trump taunted DeSantis first. That was, and is wrong. And it wasn't smart, an unforced error, you might say.


Edit: Still, I can't blame Trump for being salty. Trump backed Ron, and now sees Ron surrounding himself by all the R party folks that opposed Trump when he was president. Anyone would see Ron palling around with Paul Ryan, for example, as a slap in the face.

Trump is a smart guy with more experience than DeSantis, and Trump couldn't stop what happened and is happening. And Trump has a lot more money than DeSantis. This. The Chamber of Commerce Republicans are loving flooding the US with cheap, exploitable labor. Pretty sure DeSantis will be instructed to cool it with the "anti-immigrant" (read:anti-illegal alien) rhetoric and policy.

That's just ONE example. Trump, on the other hand, has already made his bones on this issue. When he tells you he doesn't want illegals here or coming here, he's show he is a fighter for that cause. Ask the Border Patrol and ICE.

Simple answer...we don't know exactly how DeSantis will be as POTUS. We have a good idea how Trump was as POTUS and some of that was good and some of that was bad. Given how effective DeSantis has been in Florida, I think he'll do just fine.
