First Vette was a used black 2009 Z51. Glad I bought it used because I promptly broke the radiator bracket. The Corvette Forum was a great help fixing that fk up.
Here’s the solution to dirt roads…

The 2013 was the very last Big block Corvette as far as I know. In '13 I was present at a seminar in Kissimmee where this very subject was the topic. Engineers from GM were the presentators. That '13 has the last 427, factory installed by GM according to them.

Had 7 Vettes over about 30 years. Last one (15 Vert) sold 3 years ago.

Exactly.

I preferred my Porsche over any Vette.

No to mention, they don't even offer a manual transmission anymore.

The 2013 was the last 427 Corvette.

As stated…the LS7 had nothing to do with a big block engine. Cubic inches don’t make a big block.

Didn't you get a C7 just last year?

What happened to it?

I might be wrong but I always understood that Cubic inches had a lot to do with an engine being called a "Big Block"

Perfectly normal as we age.

I don't have any plans to sell my '07, but fast cars don't have the allure that they used to.

When/if I do sell it, I wouldn't buy any other car or spend the money on any other inanimate objects.

Back in the day, the 265/283/327/350/400 etc. had the same basic block.

Then the 396/427/454 etc. came out, different block, and were considered "big blocks."

Thus, we have the 400 "small block" and the 396 "big block," and the 427 in small or big block.

A couple little problems with my situation. The road floods about four times a year leaving ruts and there’s a slope where the gravel road meets pavement.

I had my fun. Time to move on and just enjoy car shows.
