Today my favorite car is...
The Eagle E-Type Speedster...
You can read about it at JaguarSpeedster.com and about Eagle's E-Type restoration and upgrade program at EagleGB.com |

Interesting, and not a bad looking rendition of the classic either.
E-types sure are fun to drive...once you actually get seated in one that is. (entry/exit wasn't exactly their strong suit). And I sure hope the positive-ground Lucas crap is long gone too. |

Actually, it is one... a resto-mod of sorts... Eagle is a specialist E-Type restoration and upgrade shop. They make E-Types that look 100% correct, but feature modern upgrades to make them safer and more reliable. The Speedster is a special project they are willing to recreate for anyone with the desire and the coin...
Here is the 4.3 Liter Straight 6... I even dig the interior... Check out how low you sit in it... |

The current (for me) EVO Magazine has an article on that exact car. I just haven't made it that far through to actually reading it from the pics I saw I like the detail work they do like the carbonfibre airbox.

That's very cool, you have good taste. Didn't they have one of those on Top Gear along with a resto mod of an Austin Healey as well? Or maybe it was an Aston... Probably an Aston... Anyway, cool car.
Went and watched that Top Gear episode. Not the same car.

That car is fire. I love E-type cars, they just look right. At least the early ones. The whole 70's bumper thing ruined a beautiful car. I really enjoyed reading about the restoration that Peter Egan documented in Road & Track.

Before new format Top Gear, Jeremy Clarkson even made the Eagle E-Type his "Car Of The Century". |
