Well, The Holidays Have Officially Started At Work!

Ugh...I'm sick already. The food fest has begun. Pot luck today. We're a pretty multi-culti company, so there's Indian food, Chinese food. We have three tables filled with food set up for all-day grazing.

After some company restructuring, I share a desk with another fellow at each plant and rarely have to stop by the office, I can do half to three quarters of my work from home. I do not miss all the office holiday nonsense. I'm not going to rain on anyone else's good time and festivities, but I just have better things to do than cooking a dish or shopping for something for the "Secret Santa".

I feel your pain. Not actual pain; financial pain. Over the last 6 months, I've had 6 crowns. (Neglected my teeth for too many years.) $1000-$1200 each. And I'm about to start a journey of 4 implants. @ $4K - $5K each. Extractions/bone grafts already done in prep for those @ $1900 total.

More to the original point, I used to despise the holiday season when I was a member of the working class. I worked in a military environment headed up by an Army 2-star, and his secretary was famous for saying "We're planning a pre-Thanksgiving/Thanksgiving/post-Thanksgiving/pre-Christmas/Christmas/post-Christmas" etc. luncheon, in that order. Everyone was afraid to say "no", because she was "Mrs. General". Good riddance to that crap; don't miss it at all.

Not to mention all the freakin' "Birthday-cake-in-the-conference-room" crap every few days. Holy crap, don't know how I stood it for all those years.

Well my teeth are actually really good, but one of my fillings from when I was younger is pretty much toast and there's a slight crack developing in the tooth. They want to crown it before it splits and I wind up needing a root canal.
