Very nice! That frame looked pretty bad before. Is that car from the north or what?

I finally got the engine bay back together and painted the hood hinges and the radiator support and the brake cylinder cover. I put on a new set of silicone hoses as well. This means that I now can paint the hood and the fenders and get the front back together. whoot whoot

I feel like Gary, optimisticaly I am hoping for a month. I am taking my time fixing and repainting what I can. The engine bay is getting a semi workover but a better one with custom grafics etc is in the plans. I just want my car back now. Everytime I pull something apart I find something to fix. I have to creativly rebuild the lower panels under each door near the jacking pucks so i can reattach the front fenders rather than spending the money to replace them. So if i dont discover any other major repair issues I am saying the near the end of october. The other major mods planned will have to wait and i am debating on adding z06 brake ducts or a rear spoiler. I think i am leaning towards the spoiler. The only other mods are in the paint itself.

I know it's hard to see but I stopped by to look at the progress Phil is making and it looks awesome. The frame rails that looked like crap before now have a nice coat of chassis black on them. The Corvette letters on the covers are the same color as the external color will be and the same as all those other under hood parts.

Looks great....I'm actually a little jealous...

Looking really good.

The mask you used to paint your covers, did you just cut that out yourself and what material is that?

I used a 18" roll of masking tape and used a razor knife to cut the letters out of the covers. U can get rolls of it from tcp global. awsome site for the painters all kinds of neat stuff.

Is what done yet? I have the front bumper primed and i need to sand it then throw on the color. I am now working on repairing the fenders where they are broke. I spent all weekend working. I hate working two jobs no time for anything.
