Poll: Is the mileage on this car correct?
Here's the ad for the car:
1976 Triumph TR6 Survivor car 21k original miles. 2 owner car same owner since 1989. All original paint , body panels, top, interior etc. Runs very well and have service records for it. Recent clutch and top end gasket replacement and tune up. Paint has some cracking when you look close on the panels and stains etc. Has small ding on hood. Very solid car, no rot ever. Always garaged . Very stock original un modified car. Runs and drives awesome. If your looking for a driver quality un- restored car this is it. Would consider trades. Here's a pic of the engine compartment: I'd say that this old car has rolled over the 100K mark, maybe more than once. What say ye? |

Can someone run the VIN for you and get a history on the car.
On the Vehicle history reports here they state the km's every time it changes hands as well. |

Are there any pics of the floor area on the drivers side.
Maybe a clue with well worn pedals or the carpet. |

I think if the speedo has run around once it cuts a line in the numbers on those Triumph's. Seems I remember my dad telling me that.

Looks like a breeze to service the basics, though.

Judging by the seats they don't look worn at all.
I don't know what that is on the passenger side floor by the tunnel. |

They make them easy to work on. Because they usually need a lot of maintenance.
I have to agree with you. I've seen cleaner engine bays on cars with a LOT more miles. But when you factor in the age of the car, where it may have been stored, where it was driven, etc etc. It's hard to say for sure just going by pictures. |

It looks pretty good in the pictures but unless they have docs to prove the mileage, it's kind of hard to tell. Some people don't keep their engine bays detailed.
I thought you had decided on the white one, did that not work out? |

It's possible, but if i were interested i would sure want to see it up on a rack and be looking around underneath it. I'd also want to see all those service records and the mileage when that service was done throughout the years before i pulled the trigger. Documentation would be the major thing if it were me, and even then you'd still have to rely somewhat on the seller's word. I'd wanna crawl all over and under it. If it's legit, the seller shouldn't mind you proving him correct. When i bought my 65, the owner drove it (with me) to a shop, and even paid to have it put up on a rack so i could see whatever i wanted. JMO

I voted It's Possible, mainly because the rest of the car looks pretty damn good.
