If they give you Versed (sp?) you won't even notice. I had a crotch -ectomy 2 weeks ago and I remember the nurse sticking a needle into my IV and then I was back in my room.

They claim that you are actually awake during the procedure but that you don't remember what happened. Whatever it is it works for me. Sort of like morphine, it may hurt like hell but you don't really care.

Nobody I know of up here has been put under for this procedure, and I know a lot of 50+ year old men. It's not even advised by doctors. Sounds like another medical fee grab by the USA health system. How much do they rip you off for the test anyway?

maybe old geezers don't care as much. i'm only 41 and i don't care to feel it. yeah, i'm allergic to pain and my threshold is pretty low.

no idea of the cost. have good insurance.
