I'd guesstimate the real value at about 6-7K......so it's a little overpriced!
The old theory on customs is you take what is market value for a stock one, and deduct the cost of returning it to that state from that price. So if a good one is worth about 15-18k and it would cost you 10k to fix it.....that's the value. |

I could deal with the flares. That crap sticking through the hood and that nose kills it for me.

I like the C3, (68 - 72).
Not liking the "custom " mods this one was subjected to. BTW: Mako Shark is correct. |

WHY do I say this?? because some 30 years ago, I got acquainted with a neighbor friend because our daughters were same age and same baby sitter...he was about 2 blocks away from me, drove a Mustang convertible, and had a nice 2 car garage in back....where he was restoring a V8 Ford rumble seat convertible, obviously a steel body car....paid like 13 grand for the privilage and ten or so years later sold it for 15k....after all that #$$$ spent much less time and effort....V8 club winner of many trophies too..... I had kept saying to drop a chevy in it, and movernize it into a steel body hotrod, have fun at car shows, and make money at it.....turns out I was correct, the going rate at that time was about 50 grand for one, if not more..... same shit will happen to the Corvette hobby, just watch..... |
