afternoon peeps been a fun afternoon with my son. just relaxing for a bit now

Just got home from the stable...oh what a "great" time!

1) Greeted with 1100+ lbs of attitude...check
2) Buzzy was herd bound...check
3) Groundwork-done....check
4) Got on him....check
5) Total body work out...check

Who won the role of the leader..I did

Ride was very long, tiring and omg did he try my patience...I need to ride him more My good boy was very stubborn like his mommy!

When I don't see him for a period of time...he cops a major attitude, it surprised me because he saw me and walked to the fence to me. Wasn't until I put his halter on he gave me the attitude, he was great while I groomed him, soon as he saw the rope halter he started to toss his head....and the fun really began, wouldn't do what I asked of him with his groundwork, we fixed that, then it began all over when I got on his back. I can't even imagine what it would have been if he saw the saddle about 30 mins of fighting him he rode well for me.

should someone else be riding him once in a while? What a pain to go through that every time you see him, and waste part of what little time you have together.......

I just have to go up more often once I get him use to having a person on his back, yes, my mom or Wendy can ride him but as "barn sour" and "herd bound" which he's gotten...I wouldn't let anyone else ride him. He's great if I put a kid on his back and I lead him, but to actually do a trail ride maybe in a month I'll let someone else on his back.

its been a nice weekend. my son has a friend over now and they are about to play monopoly. im reviewing drawings from work and watching the storm roll in

got a lot of sun this wekeend have my summer tan now (except for my legs... they match but are spray on )
