The last truck I had, a Mazda B3000, was one day old back in 1994. I drove it to the grocery store to pick up a keg of beer for a friend's bachelor party. The beer distributor guy was there and offered to load the keg in the back of my truck for me. Cool.

So he wheels the keg out as I lower the tailgate. He then grabs the keg and literally throws it up into the bed of the truck. He lands it on the interface between the tailgate and the bed, with the edge of the keg, and puts a huge dent in both the bed and the tailgate.

He stares at it and the color drains out of his face. He then looks at me and starts to open and close his mouth, with no words coming forth.

I said "Eh, it's a truck, it's going to get abused. Plus I'm getting a bed liner for it later this week. Should cover it up."

I think he wanted to hug me.

Useless beast for most folks, but it is a killer work truck/tow vehicle.

Jeez..the V10 would KILL most people in just fuel costs alone!

Amen. The rebates are pretty good right now with the 2014's hitting the dealerships. I was looking at a truck that was offsite that they *could* get, but when my guy told me that they would deal on one they have in stock more, that persuaded me to hit them hard on the bargaining with the one I bought. Seemed to work to my favor.

Yep. I have a buddy with at 2500HD that is lifted, never sees any dirt, and is actually rarely driven because he has a beater DD. He would shit if his bed was scratched, much less had a dent.

I had a 2010 Silverado that was having issues that GM basically turned their back on. That pushed me away, and I still feel to this day that I just bought a lemon. Hell, it happens, but when the manufacturer won't help, FK it...cut your losses, and move along. This new one only has 72 miles as of this morning...the verdict long term is still out of course. Here's hoping that this will be my "long term" truck that I keep, pay off, and pass down to my kids(if we have them).

Yep, that's about how mine looks in ours. Plus, add in all the shit that gets stored out there 24/7, and there is no way I can park it any further in. I can fit it in far enough to do an oil change or whatever...so that is good enough. I am pretty good about keeping my vehicle clean and waxed, so keeping it outside isn't the biggest issue I have. I would prefer a garage that would fit it in, but just not in our plans right now to move.

Granted, mine is a beater truck, but I went to the local garden center for some river rock this spring.
Old fart running the little loader dumped it down the fender.

You could see the "oh shit" look on his face.
I just started laughing.

Very nice truck

If you sold a Gen 1 Camaro to get it, I'm sorry.
Gen 2, kinda sorry.

Gen 3, Gen 4 or Gen 5...who cares.

It was a Gen 5, but I did like the car. I bought it kind of on an impulse, but didn't do bad buying, or getting rid of it. So, no harm, no foul.
