My daily driver, and the only automatic I own, is an Omega Planet Ocean. I have a decent photo couldn't find it so this is just a stock photo. Not an investment grade watch but worth a lot more than I paid for it.

My Dad gave me this one over 60 years ago. I need a much nicer strap.

My wife inherited this Gruen Curvex Batwing drivers watch from the 40s.
Edit: A bit of research and I believe this is a Curvex Falcon. 30s instead of 40s.

It was designed with flexible lugs and a strap with an offset buckle so the watch could be comfortably worn on the side of the wrist while driving so you could see the time without taking your hand off the wheel. I guess most cars had no clock during the 40s. At least one variant was called the Ristside - not sure of the exact name of this one.

Here's a side view off a similar model showing the lugs flexed.

I want to get a proper strap for it. The band that's on it is an old Spidel expandable that's pretty cool but it belongs on a different watch and is too small for me.

2 Movados
1 Tag Heuer
5 Fossils
1 Citizen Eco-Drive

Adding a Tag Heuer Monaco X Gulf Special Edition in December. I can't look like Steve McQueen, but I can wear his watch!!

Here's my one and only. Keep saying I'm going to collect more but too busy still. No idea who the initials belonged to but the watch was manufactured in 1910~.

Very cool owning and using this piece of history.

While I have an Apple Watch…I call it my ‘wrist computer’ and still wear a ‘real’ watch:

Looks great, very comfortable, and extremely accurate.

I had this exact reference a number of years ago, great watch.

Flippers and Speculators have killed it for the average collector. Which is unfortunate.

I purchased my Explorer (14270, A-Serial) used as I could not source one from the local AD's.

I really prefer the 5 digit Rolex's anyway, I like the older jingly/jangly bracelets.

Regardless, most of the time these days I am wearing my Garmin Forerunner. Although, the Rolex has been on my wrist the last few days. It's a wonderful all around watch.

I enjoy my 2 mechanical watches, including the Rolex, but the C8 Z06 is much more important to me. That's where my cash goes. Most people don't know shit about watches, so what we wear is irrelevant.

I am a big fan of mechanical watches. I have three expensive watches and four moderately price watches. I believe I have a watch for any occasion.

This one is the same GMT model as Craig's but a different colorway. I will likely pick up a green one also.

I picked this one up from the new local AD a couple of days ago.

One of the boxes...

Another one...

I could sell three of my Rolex and buy a C8 in cash. The only problem is, in 15 years, those Rolex will be worth more than that C8.

I've got just a few nice watches, plus a few that don't have much value, but look cool.

Tag Heuer
Omega SpeedMaster
Omega Planet Ocean

And, I don't like wearing watches.

Welllll.....I may or may not have seen your watch posted somewhere else...

Having said that, it was the pic that made me love the GMT on that strap.

I've got a few - Hamilton, Citizen, Oris, Bulova and a few Breitlings. I've blown the new watch budget for 2022 already, now stalking a specific Breitling for 2023. With the exception of the Citizens and Bulovas, all of my watches are automatics.

Thumbs down

I bought this Seiko from the jeweler that made my wife’s engagement ring. IIRC it cost me a little over $100, and the guy gave me a little bit of a deal considering what I was spending on the ring. My wife bought me a Movado as a gift some years back, but I would love to purchase a Ball watch one day.
