If it was so dedicated to ICE cars how come we talk about tractors, lawn mowers, boats, planes anything with power?

I thank Mr. Daniels for putting a little objective into all this BS. I am not here trying to sell anything or convince anyone to purchase an EV. I am just stating facts as they apply to the real life of a first time EV driver.

So everyone bitching about I can go 400 miles on $25 of gas. Well this road trip was stupid because it was my first and the charger I used was .49 a KW for power. At home we pay .11 cents per KW. For us to drive 726 miles over the month we owned the Hummer, it cost us a whopping $37. Not too bad for a 9000 lb very capable and comfortable SUV.

So not to offend the little closed minded dickheads on this forum, I'll not post about the EV experience anymore. In fact, I'll just leave what used to be a great car enthusiast forum, and find somewhere else to talk about cars with open minded people.

There are people on here who represent the good in car enthusiast. Then there are the asshats who make life miserable because not everyone agrees with what they envision the world is according to them.

It is truly a shame that some have to flaunt their ignorance while suckling off each other's hind tit.

On a Corvette forum.

Why do so many (most?) EV, and especially Tesla, owners feel compelled to constantly preach about the virtues of their choice of car?

I appreciate the perspective the OP brings about his experiences with a unique new EV. You keep hijacking every thread that even mentions an EV to proselytize about Teslas.

I have no interest in owning an electric vehicle, or a hybrid, for that matter. I don't give a flying **** what you drive either. If the Hummer floats your boat, well, . If your Hummer pisses off other people here, then that is even more

My response was not Tesla specific. BTW, we own 2 EVs and only one is a Tesla.

I have raced all the fast cars I owned. The only difference is that I no longer lose races with my current car.

I hope you don't go. Don't let a few folks who polluted this thread run you off.

You have to bear in mind that their hatred is driven by fear, and the fear is driven by change. Try to have a little sympathy.

Not sure what you’re so upset about? I didn’t see anyone ‘attacking’ you in your post. Of course there are going to be people who think EV’s are impractical and overpriced, you have to know that when you make a post about them. I found your experience interesting….not going to buy an EV anytime soon, but I don’t mind hearing how it’s working out for you.

Just read through the ‘Everything Tesla/EV’ thread, a lot of people just don’t like EV’s, the EV industry, our Government pushing EV’s on the public, and the twisted fantasy that they are so ‘green’ and good for the planet. Dont take it all so seriously. If it bothers you personally so much I guess don’t share your EV adventures with us, maybe talk about them on an EV forum?
