What has it been, 4, 5 years? When you first rose to national prominence in this modern age of basketball. I had you going so far, and you choked like only Pitt Panthers can. My bracket laid to waste. Never again I swore.

The years went by, and I always remembered your MO. Pitt Panthers? Good for an early loss. I even won the brackets 2 years in that time. I ALWAYS made sure to avoid you like the plague.

But you would not be deterred. You were patient. You bided your time, continued your choking ways, always knowing that sooner or later, you'd reel me in again. Sooner or later your patience would bear fruit. Sooner or later, once again you would have the last laugh.

This year, that day arrived.

Kansas and Ohio State were clearly the top #1 seeds. After all, they won their conference tourneys and dominated all year. And you? Well, you pulled a Pitt and got bounced right out of the Big East tournament. But you had bigger fish to fry.

The brackets came out, and the Gods smiled upon you. Your region was pathetic. It was Pitt and the 7 dwarves. I agonized. I scrutinized. But I just couldn't see how even you, Pitt, could blow it this time. After much internal agony, I relented. I wrote you into the Final 4 once more. I thought I was safe, I thought I was alone.

But I wasn't.

You were there. Lurking, somewhere in the shadows, you watched as I wrote in your name. Your lips curled into a crude smile, you chuckled to yourself. You had me once again.

Not only did you NOT make the Final 4, you didn't even make the Sweet 16. The evil refs tried for a moment to foil your plans, to give you the game and save my bracket. But you would not be deterred. As only Pitt Panthers can, you once again snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

My bracket lay in ruins once more. And you're here, standing over me, victorious. Your relentless pursuit of mediocrity rewarded. Your suckitude exalted above all others. You win Pitt, you win.

I'm just glad the refs called the fouls that happened at the end instead of "letting them play" like the stupid announcers want.

I didn't get to see the end. I was at the Fox & Hound here in KC and for some damn reason they changed off that game that was almost over to watch the start of the Fcuking K State Wisconsin game. Like they couldn't wait 5 damn minutes.
