We found these 4 little guys at my house yesterday after I got home from work. Anyone want one? If not they have an appointment with the SPCA this afternoon at 5. I'd much rather give them to a good home. I can't keep them. My 2 cats and our 14 year old dog can't deal with the energy.

A guy I work with sent the pic of the dogs to his wife. They can't keep them but she found a place that will come pic them up, have them neutered, and then foster them until they can find them a home. So if no one else takes them I know they'll be ok.

You don't remember all your chemistry from high school? Pools can be a real pain to maintain. But, they can be nice to have. My pool maintenance program is having friends that have pools.

It's usually shitty ass city folks that come drop them off on the side of the road.

There is one guy who lives in a run down trailer a ways down the road from me that never takes care of his dogs. He always has Huskies, and they end up at my house sometimes. His dog had pups once and he never acclimated them to people. They were 100% wild and at age 6 months or so started hunting for food. They killed some of my FILs goats and we had them trapped in a fenced in field. The pups were vicious, covered in ticks, and we had to call animal control. One got away and kept coming back at night. I trapped him in a cage (Lured him in with food) and tried to acclimate him but he'd never let me near him. I couldn't even get the ticks off him. Finally I had to take him to animal control and they put him down. It was pretty sad.

That is horrible. Our Huskies love people and want to meet and greet everyone they see. Especially if people talk to them. Our Nukka is a hunter and is almost always on high alert when we take her for a walk. She has caught a couple of bunnies in our yard. We never let them outside off leash as the breed are runners. Both Loki and Nukka have escaped twice (in one day), and they took off. The first time, we were able to catch them shortly after the got out. The second time, they were gone for hours, and they ran over a mile away from the house. Some kids found them and had them for a couple of hours before they saw a fakebook post about the dogs missing. That's when we got them back.

It worries me to have a dog that's a runner. I'd be afraid I'd never find them again. I've been lucky in that respect, my GSD always stayed at my side, and my Irish setter would always be within whistling distance. Others I've had usually just follow me around the yard without too much of a tracking instinct.

Trying keeping whippets..... or worse a beagle. We sat my daughters beagle. Took off between wife and door one night at 10:30.... Panic, daughter and friends came to search. Posted flyers as I was on plane to Paris at 11:00AM

Sure as shit, somebody saw flyer. Damn dog was laying in back yard, wore out and driving guys dogs crazy inside the house. Hate Beagles....

I had a German Shepherd that would jump over a six foot privacy fence if you didn't keep an eye on him. He would be at the gate ready to come back in the next morning. There were probably a lot of German Shepherd mix pups.
