Won't happen in the US, the EV zealots are adamant that they are smarter than ICE drivers and saving the environment to boot. I literally passed a WAWA gas station in central Florida this morning and there were two cars at the charging stations whose owners were standing around waiting for electrons to flow - wife and I got a hoot out of it as we filled up in 3 minutes and rocketed off to continue our lives.

This:

This argument completely ignores all the energy expended to discover, drill, frack, pump, refine, store, transport and dispense the gasoline needed for an ICE vehicle.
Those "energy losses" must be factored into the ICE total efficiency scenario. |

Good point but the whole economic scene is just a sideshow. Living in a cess pool of heavy metal pollution because others value the production of batteries over generating plant food is the big picture.

True Dat. Hyundai is building an EV plant half an hour from here and LG signed on today to build a battery plant to support Hyundai. I'm downstream of both plants... glad I have a really deep well.
