I remember back in the Army helping the shop torque down the Jesus nut on a Huey at 700ft lbs.

Had a torque wrench about 3 1/2 ft long. Got a payloader and raised the bucket. Slowly moved towards the wrench and then pushed until it popped.

Your link is to the wrong generation. OP says 2004 model year. Here is the correct link and it indeed shows 350 ft-lbs on the front shock lower nut/bolt.

We need to torque things really tight in the heavy equipment trade. Our shop uses something called a torque multiplier to extend the range of an average torque wrench. Perhaps you can find one at reasonable cost.

I’ve watched guys at the track in Porsches torque the rear axle nut with humongous wrenches-said it was 400 ft/lbs.

To access the transmission drain on my Porsche (80k service), first remove a frame cross member. Five good size bolts. The spec to reinstall is something like 75#-ft, then turn an additional 3/4 turn. So a common torque wrench, mark the bolt, then uses a cheap breaker bar.

Reasonably sized vehicle, serviced with reasonably sized tools.

This is the correct answer; and is a very common tool.
Some parts houses loan these out.
I've seen el-cheap-0's sell for less than $50., and will torque down to 4800nm/3400lbs.

This has to be a misprint. Torquing any front suspension bolt to 350 lb-ft would snap the bolt.

It's 75 lb-ft for a 4wd and 25 lb-ft for a 2wd

https://ford-specs.com/cars/2004/f15...pecs_front.php

FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER INSTALLATION

To replace the front shocks on an f150 you will first need to remove the nuts on the top of the shock. This can be accessed from under the hood of the vehicle or by the side with a wrench. The next bolt to remove is the lower bolt that runs through the lower control arm. Once removed the shock can then be removed from the vehicle. The new shock can then be moved back into the vehicle the same way the old one came out. Once the new shock is installed you can then start installing the bolts and nuts. The upper nut can be installed the same way that it had been removed and should be torqued to 40 ft-lbs. The lower bolt may need to be aligned and pounded back into place. If you must hammer on the bolt be sure not to ruin the threads, once the bolt is through it can be torqued to 25 ft-lbs if the vehicle is 2WD or 75 ft-lbs if 4WD.

f150 Front Shock Upper Nut Torque Spec : 40 ft-lbs
f150 Front Shock Lower Bolt Torque Spec(2WD): 25 ft-lbs
f150 Front Shock Lower Bolt Torque Spec (4WD): 75 ft-lbs

It appears 2004 was a crossover year for the F150 because your link with the 75ft-lbs value is for 1997-2004. Here is the same website for 2004-2008 that again lists the torque spec as 351 ft-lbs.
