That entire sequence is a fantasy of photoshop and a vivid imagination. Ford did do feasibility studies and at least clay modeling; if not actual prototyping of a shooting brake Mustang early in the product's life. Apparently it came nowhere near production as then Ford brass was smart enough not to mess with a smashingly successful product line.

Seems I've touched a never with the whole human mortality thing.

I've got some real bad news for the sensitive snowflakes: nobody gets out of this world alive, and we're all on doomsday countdown clock that starts ticking the moment we're born.

And business is about making money. There's a reason most advertisers don't GAF about total audience and care only about "the demo" i.e. the target age group for most products (like cars). There's a reason Fox News relies on gold and catheter ads even though they're the most watched cable network. They're NOT most watched by the demo.

If you're in the business of selling automobiles and your business model is all about volume, not niche or luxury (Ferrari), your attitude is, has to be, and should be, give the demo and people about to enter the demo what they want, and boomers can **** off because we've already got their cash over the past few decades and it's all about who's gonna pay us over the coming decades.

There's a reason network primetime TV shows are mostly a bunch of shit we hate and SJW crap. Network primetime TV shows are an advertisement delivery system and Coca-Cola and Pepsi don't give a rat's ****ing @$$ about what we like because they know they've already got us. What the **** are we gonna do, switch to RC Cola after all these years because they're running ads on NBC at 8:42pm EST after generic sitcom went to commercial break after the transgender greenpeace worker and the lesbian overweight "big is beautiful" advocate had their much awaited first kiss after their date at the Bernie Sanders rally? They need to hook the new generation and create their brand loyalty for the decades to come because they'll be guzzling cokes and pepsis during their election night party celebrating President-elect Occasio Cortez while we're taking a long dirt nap.

Current generation Mustang owner and Corvette owner.

I dig it as a daily driver.

Not labeled as a pretentious Tesla (BMW) asshole driver.

They should have given it a different name.
Just simple laziness on the marketing department.

You are our very own Jerry McGuire's girlfriend....brutal truth teller.

Now, if you'll pardon me, I've got to go stick a catheter up my urethra and go count my gold coins.

I am fully in touch with my mortality and that's a large part of why your comments piss me off so much. Even though I am nearing the end of my work career I am still quite an economic force to be reckoned with since we have no children to support, have zero credit card debt, and are still in "peak earning years" plus our health is good enough that we did purchase a 2019 Mustang this year for which we could have paid cash had we so chosen.
Compare us to the millennial cadre and you might find us even more attractive as potential customers since we both work, own our home and have stable work histories going back those precious decades you so callously denied us in an earlier post. I should STILL be the "demo" manufacturers cater to because if what I read recently is anywhere near true the average millennial has a near zero chance of affording that new electric crossover since he/ she/it is probably still living either with mommy and daddy or sharing some shitty apartment with a roomie or 5 while they struggle under the weight of college loans, stagnant salaries and the angst which comes from overexposure to participation trophies and positive self image immersion.

In closing I am older but a long way from assisted living... and I still like to have fun so leave all us "old farts" alone and work on your own self image since you seem to belittle the import and accomplishments of your own generation as well as mine.
