Unfortunately, anarchy is correct. If the sheeple will fight each other over a video game on Black Friday, how are they going to behave when it's the last loaf of bread on the shelf in the entire city?
That's where the guns come in my friends. When the looting starts (which it won't here) there would be a pile of bodies in my front yard. I'm debt free. 100%. Everything, including my home, is paid for. None of our stuff is fancy, but it's all ours. We have plenty of cash, investments, and other assets....all the result of living UNDER our means for 25 years. Unemployment doesn't scare me. In fact, nothing does. If we can do it, why can't the Federal Govt? I know people who are what I call "two paychecks from living in the street". I couldn't do it....I'd be a basket case. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night....a nervous wreck.....and yet they seem oblivious to where they really stand. It almost seems like a form of sociopathy....no regard for consequences, no remorse about anything. 90% of the people out there are what I call "consumabots". I think the govt encourages this so they will have control. |

Im in the same boat as you Friz, the only bill I have is last months electric bill...My wife insisted that we pay the house off last year, just in case the country went to hell, her thinking is at least we'll have a place to live, smart women.. I have a large fireplace so I can heat my house in the winter, and a well in the backyard for water. I also keep the deer on my property well feed and always hanging around because you never know when I might need them.... I have many guns and plenty of ammo just in case, and I target shoot alot for practice..I wonder how many people have never even considered the fact that things could go real bad, real fast..I hope I never have to initiate my survival plan, but it's better to have one you never use, then to not have one at all.......WW

They may be in for a very rude awakening very soon. And the biggest element of surviving something like that is simply understanding what is happening, why it happened, and accepting your new reality. There will be those who have to go through the 5 steps....they will find themselves challenged. Maybe I'm a paranoid doomster.....but I think the financial cataclysm that is bearing down on us will make the Great Depression look like a picnic. $16 trillion dollars. We should be living in a veritable utopia. Where did it all go??? |

Yep, we're all paid off too. I've been picking up .22 rifles for years now strictly as a bartering tender when cash means nothing. I have about 67k rounds of .22 ammo for the same reason.
The people didn't get us into this mess-politicians did. We gave them the power to keep the ship off the rocks! What did they do? Used that given power to buy votes and more power! Padding their own beds at the expense of the people's treasury! Now we're on majour rocks! Right now, Obummer and Reid are hammering Johnny Boner and the GOP for not sending a bill to them. But wait-both Obummer and Reid have publicly promised to kill or veto ANY bill that comes from the house! WTF? WTF? W T F? Those two are the country's biggest liars (remember Reid's ranting about Romney not paying any income tax?). We've pretty much lost the government to a hostile force that incrementally rotted before our eyes! It may take a very painful housecleaning to reclaim it... Friz, One last thing before I go... You ask where did the 16 trillion go? One thing I can't believe is even though the US is going through the worst money crisis we have ever seen, we are still sending billions of dollars to help other counties..Why the hell would we still be sending money to other counties when we are so far in dept that we may never get out. This is the idiotic crap that amazes me..We are actually "borrowing" money to send to other counties..WTF.......WW . . . . Last edited by WW7; 12-27-2012 at 7:04pm. |
