I agree with him completely. These takers don't care and only want more. They will vote for those who will take more from the producers and give them their little piece.

Obama started this class war. I hope Romney wins it. Otherwise those of use who produce are screwed.

Unfortunately, regardless of how true it is, there are probably some of the 6% in the margin that he offended with this. All else being equal, this should make him even with Obama for the "You didn't build that" comment. We shall see.

I'd wager that there are some in that 47% that do actually see the problem and plan on voting for him. He may have just alienated them. Though, if they're smart enough to see the issue they're also likely smart enough to see the point he was trying to make.

I'm not sure this will hurt him in the long run.

The statement he was trying to make would have been easier to blow off if he hadn't linked it to the percentage who pay no taxes.

There is absolutely an entitlement segment of the population that will vote for socialism every time.

"47% of people who do bother to get out and vote will vote for Obama regardless"

All you have to do is make sure everyone gets out and votes and the 47% is suddenly a much smaller number.

A local radio station was conducting man on the street interviews this morning asking for reactions. They were "shocked" as they called it to find that so many people agreed with him and supported him saying it.
