Default God damn driving in Florida.....
Run the vette a mile through the burb to the bank, to make a deposit.....spot a cop as bank guard, no cop on leaving get out the door, and some one asks if it's MY vette.....and there it was.....

some GOD DAMN BLUE DODGE PICKUP backs her muddy ass over my front, destroying the entire thing, see pix......about 130 this afternoon.....Linda drove up to take pix.....

This is accident number 8 for this household in 15 years, NONE OF WHICH WAS OUR FAULT!!!!!! ****ing texting.....one of them damn nearly killed my wife....totaled her car....rear ended at 45 mph in traffic....

Cop out writing a report, witnesses saw it happen, but I suppose they shouted her to stop, wife took pix of her truck with tag # , when I got permission to leave I found out it's a 21 page report, and it takes TEN DAYS to process it, I pulled up to the cop as he was continuing on with her, and asked him to write a ticket good for 6 months in jail..... he smirks and motions for me to leave....

Note that it was a Blue Dodge pickup....maybe ~4 years newer than the BLUE DODGE pickup that hit wife's son in his '96 Silverado.....and took off running hit and run, costing us some 2500 bux outta pocket.....it shot a stop sign at speed into the left front fender, one nanosecond later and it would have killed Dave......driven by an illegal, THAT much we know, not that the cops give a shit......

Did you find out if the beotch has insurance Gene? man....that's gonna be a lotta dough to fix that right. I can see why you leave it at home most of the time.
I only take my old 62 out for cruises, never for errands where I leave it alone, even for a minute unattended. Find the best Vette specialist body guy in the area and insist of him doing the repair. you might just get a whole new paint job out of it.

NO they did NOT drive off, there were witnesses and called the cop outta the bank to the lot while I was doing business at the counter, across the lobby/room...so I found it out when going back to the car, not in there maybe 5 minits......anyone any rough guesses as to $$$$ to fix it....???
