We've had this Zojirushi for 17 years & use it regularly. Also have one of their rice cookers, which gets used several times/week.

I'm 6'2", closer to 6'3" on a good day.

You can make really nice bread using the no-knead method. All you need is mixing bowl, a dutch oven with a metal lid handle (enamel or just cast iron), and an oven. Try this method (and use bottled water because the small amount of yeast you use in this method can be killed by chlorinated tap water) and then you can advance to other methods. I'd much rather you get a nice mixer with a dough hook than a bread machine that makes "meh" bread.

6'-5"

Here's the deal. A bread machine makes just OK bread. The crust isn't very interesting, the texture is usually rather boring, and it's perfectly fine in some ways but just boring is the way I'd characterize it.

Most bread making by hand involves kneading at some point. I use a machine for this - a Kitchenaid mixer with a dough hook. But as I pointed out, the no-knead recipes, which there are literally hundreds on the internet you can find, substitute time in place of kneading. Time can also develop the gluten. It takes about 24 hours total time to make no-knead bread. But that's like 23-1/2 hours doing absolutely nothing. And the time you're actually doing something, it's just basic things like flouring a surface, heating your oven and dutch oven, shaping a dough ball, transferring the dough to the dutch oven, and then taking the lid off part way through the baking time.

It's super easy and you almost assuredly have everything you need right now, at least give it a shot. Make the mixture on a Friday, bake the bread for Saturday lunch/dinner. Have sandwiches for lunch Sunday.

No knead bread FTW.
I've been making baguettes for the most part lately.

14 ounces cool water
1/4 tsp instant yeast
1.5 tsp salt
1 tbsp olive oil
3.5 cups bread flour or AP.

Add water and yeast and stir.
Add salt and stir.
Add olive oil and stir.
Add flour and stir for one minute until shaggy with the handle of wooden spoon.

Search his vids he has everything.
