You guys seem to make his points better than he does. I'm not sure how you read some of this into what he is actually saying; which is why I don't have any confidence he can do any good. He's got to get the cooperation from Republicans and Democrats and right now he won't get it from any of the Ds and few of the Rs.

I suspect you are getting your Trump soundbites handed to you through a media filter. For instance, do you know what his position is on, say, reinstating the Glass-Steagall act? Do you even know what the Glass-Steagall act is and why getting it reinstated would accomplish yet another goal of Trump's?

It's highly doubtful if you are depending on CNN/FNC/ABC/CBS/NBC to tell you.

Anyway, here it is.

Whether anyone likes it or not, from 1990-1998, what he said and did mattered. I didn't care for the man either, but disliking him doesn't make it any less of a fact.

I didn't know. I don't know that I would agree with reinstating an century old law given the modern economic climate; the disruption to our banking system would be significant. In general, I hear what you guys are saying, I'm not as familiar with his policy positions as I could be; that's because he comes across as an politically light-weight asshole, which doesn't compel me to look deeper. Should I? I don't know, since I don't think he has a prayer of winning.

It's kind of easy to tell who actually researches before they vote and who garners their opinion based on skits by Jimmy Fallon.

I think it extremely telling that people who meet with him for an hour or so unanimously begin expounding on what a great guy he is, what a good family man he is, how sound his ideas are. Why is that? Because Entertainment Tonight or SNL isn't feeding them the information. They are getting it straight from Trump.

If I had to judge Trump purely by The National Enquirer, I might think him a clown too. I'm still waiting for him to say something I disagree with.
