Always had a mustache, but about 2 years ago I grew a short goatee and it's stayed. Shaving that area was always painful......don't miss it at all.

I usually grow the beard starting the first day of Fall and shave the first day of Spring. It gets damn hot and humid around here to keep a beard year round.
One the engineers at work started was doing this when I hired in so I just followed along.

I've had a beard since 1976, when our 2nd son was born. I had taken a week or 2 off from work, didn't bother shaving, & liked it.

I did shave it off once after 10-15 years, found that I had grown an extra chin, so immediately let it grow back & kept it ever since.

Have me 'stashe' for about 30 years ......

Takes me about 4 minits to shave....no problem, and that is about 3 day intervals......have to put skin cream scripts on afterward due to skin cancers of various types from too much on the water having fun....fishin' sailin'.....
