Default Bonus time...
Just found out what my bonus is going to be for last year's performance at work and it's the 2nd highest I ever received in 19 years with the company. Also got a good raise.
That came as a surprise as bonuses in recent years were not very good.. Got double raise and bonus compared to last year.

That's the way IT is at times. I worked like 20 Saturdays this year. I got comp time for the overtime, so I had about 6 weeks of vacation as well..

End of year bonus really throws off all the calculations I did for taxes, but it's better than a kick in the balls. If only the company could figure out a way to hand out bonuses that don't go through payroll and get taxed in the dick at 35%
I mean, why can't I just take a few grand worth of amazon gift cards or something
