I don't begrudge anyone because of the money they have, regardless of the source of their wealth. I only care about working hard and maximizing my own wealth.

I understand, and chuckle at people who inherit wealth and squander it. Not much different than lottery winners.

They didn't get the money all at once or they probably would have. It was like $5M every four years or something like that. It's been about 20 years since I heard the details of this. I was on vacation in Key West with the guy and his wife when he confided this to me. I knew a little about it before then, but not a lot. Does it peeve me when parents leave their massive wealth to POS kids, maybe. Would I rather them leave that $$ to an organization that could do something good with that $ vs watch it get wasted on blow and hookers. Sure.

I’ve known parents to do that. Told their kids if they didn’t straighten up they would write them out of their will, and they did. Good for them.

If decent people get a massive inheritance and honor their passed on family by doing right with the $..... good for them.

So no, I don’t GAS, but preferably those not deserving would not be given the funds to squander.
