Research the story. He was entrapped by, shocker, the FBI. This would explain why so many politicians seem to be in the pocket of the administrative state, and why the DoJ and FBI are so powerful. Continuing J. Edgar's legacy, they probably entrap and hold dirt on every politician they can, just for future leverage. This would explain TX Senator John Cornyn.
