Got the new Gasser home.
Not quite as nice as it looked in the photos, but still a good deal. The metallic blue paint is salvable, does not appear to have ever been rubbed out. So I am planning on building it as a "survivor" car. Just gonna do a light sand and buff on it, throw on some period correct decals and paint a cool Gasser name on the side. It is very complete except for engine/trans and should be a fairly easy build and a fun ride when done. Last photo is what Im going for.

I have been wondering about this. If it is to be a street car, won't it run hot driving without a grill? Will a fan pull enough air? Or are you going to buy a grill?
Seems to me that it would run hot unless it does not have an engine. Then you would be fine! |

I just gave the front of the grille area a quick hit with some 500/1000/1200 grit and then compound and wax. Came out pretty nice. With a little effort I should be able to get the whole thing pretty nice looking. I believe its a lacquer paint.

He's on a fixed income. engine would have to be a low budget old 350 2 bolt out of an old Caprice or Chevelle Laguna.

The gasser is cooler, IMO.
But I'm a sucker for period rods and gassers and not modern builds. Very cool '37, Zeek. It's crying for some Halibrand's or Radirs and pie-crust slicks out back. Agree that the grille can't stay a bunch of holes. Keep us posted. |

Here's an interior shot of an old drag coupe I spotted at a local drag event. Love the '60's era hotrod/race stuff. The '37 Chev is one of the prettiest coupes out there, and not 100k like a real Willys. |

Very cool.. But I have had more than my share of 33/34 Fords. Both 2dr sedans and Chopped 3 window coupes. I always wanted a gasser and 37 Chevy coupes have always been my favorite...Besides, I like to build my own...
