I have not talked to them yet this year but guessing they will give us a discount again this year, and I did also mention to him last year that we needed more dolls this year for the girls so hoping he has a good supply. Just a few side thoughts..
Last year I shut this down early when I thought we already had enough funds for the kids in our village, and also the small place we gave the extra toys too last year. Craig "Datawiz" for one... wanted to send even more funds last year... but I told him we already had enough to get the job done. and shut it down.... Turns out.. we did very well for here for the kids in our village.. But I did not have enough for all of the kids in the other small place we went to, so this year I will send Tata to get an accurate count in advance to know in advance exactly what we need. (Girls vs Boys and total count) This year I'm just going to leave it open as I know we will always find a good use for anything sent... So far I have already bought a few month's supply of milk for the new baby whose mother died that I told you guys about a few days ago. and will deliver it to them tomorrow I hope, and post some more photos here for you all. I have already started the girls shopping, (about 400 girl toys bought so far) and will go back to the store in a few days to start on the boys toys for this year. The count gets too confusing if I do it all at once and also the store was ready to close the other night when I was shopping so just worked on girls toys only so far.. as dolls were the hardest to get last year, and I had to go to another place to get more. I have been kinda picky so far this year.. and figure we can always go back and get the cheaper fill in type toys later. I want good stuff for the kids, not just junk, so am planning the shopping the best I can with what we have to work with. A lot of the dolls I saw did not meet my specifications, and I'm sure even Spence would not even approve of the ones I passed on... My plan this year is roughly 500 girl toys and 500 boy toys... and somewhere in the middle of all of this will be toys that can work for both, and also shoes.. My wife and a few more have suggested I get some stuff they actually need this year. So I plan to buy a lot of shoes and slippers this year for the little ones and let it be their choice of shoes or a toy. Am thinking the Moms will want shoes, but the kids will just want toys.. When I was a kid.. I didn't want clothes, sorry man.. I wanted toys!...  But lets just see what happens this year and plan better for next year.
