I work for GE Oil & Gas and suggest checking out the openings here. I do believe we still are hiring. Maybe something will be available for what you do.

I had a preliminary interview with a company recruiter. They scheduled a full phone interview for next Wednesday. Man I hope this works out. About a 1 hour drive but I don't care. I need a job. We have not discussed compensation yet...that may be an issue. I will have reports (not sure how many but they are customer service people) and it is a "working" manager position. I have no idea what to expect...but I do know what I need to cover my bills.

I had my phone interview yesterday. It was an hour long. A bit brutal, but I feel like it went very well. I know we have a disconnect on pay. I think we can come to terms...or at least I hope so. Assuming the next person in line is on board, there will be a follow up interview by phone with the hiring manager. If that goes well, there will be an on-site interview next. Assuming THAT goes well, there will then be a Skype interview with their UK office. That is a lot of steps, but I am good with it as long as I can land this one.

An adjacent industry to your previous job would be Wiring Harness design/manufacturing. Lots of companies, probably with lots of openings as US manufacturing rebounds.

The company I worked for before I retired had 2-3 in-house people, doing what you did for PCB's, but they worked for our harness manufacturer.
