The rule for all non-athletes is simple...all YouEssofMeh residents can graduate from college broke...regardless of how they started. One of the reasons college tuition is so so high is that much of it is redistributed from those who can pay to those who cannot. True dat.

I worked my way through college also. That was the reason I joined the Army. I stayed in though to ensure I gave back more than I got.

I know it sucks, but you WILL be a better (and bitter) person for it. People like me admire people like you who are willing to work for what you want.

All this political correctness bullshit is just a form emotional abuse and passive agressive behavior! Demanding political correctness is just another method that aggression and abuse can be poured on to the perceived "Man."
Recently a young woman I work with told me of something that happened to her MIL. The woman started working in an office in which she was a distinct minority (white) 90% of the other women in the office were black or hispanic. She tried to be friendly and treat them just as she treated everyone else.
Her office manager came to her one day and told her, "You should not refer to the other women who work here as "girls" because it offends a black woman to be called a girl." She was crushed, I know this woman and she is a very kind sweet woman who doesn't have a racist bone in her body, yet her Office Supervisor called her a racist (and wrote her up) because she treated the women she worked with the same way she treated everyone else. All she did was to say,"have a good weekend giirls!"
So now she won't even speak for fear of offending somebody.

I think everyone should work for what they want, so no need to admire me. I shouldn't be rewarded because I have work ethic. If I want to better myself that is all on me. I have more self respect then to just do nothing and stand on the corner with a cardboard sign. Why we give hands outs to one group instead of the other is nonsense.

I agree with all that is stated so I guess whatever you are, I am too. It is not geared toward any specific race, so I can't see how it could be racist. It seems to take any illegal or ignorant activity in to consideration and that looks like it could just as easily apply to ANY and ALL races. Remember, many foriegners are white and this would (should) apply to them too so again, it is not racist.
