2 Planes in Alaska....collision and.....

So it seems they were flying through a canyon, and somehow never saw each other.....but they both landed safely with NO injuries.....

the odds are longer than the lotto on that happening.....


and this reminds me of an old old friend's only child....his name was Tito, I just knew him as Tito.....last name Lord.....her ex husband's last name....

so Anna's kid takes flying lessons after college, he gets a commercial pilots license, takes off from Wash DC region for ALASKA, and to become a bush pilot....like that guy TORCH on CF....(who BTW has the best life of any man I have ever contacted/cyber friends with) GOD knows I"m insanely jealous....

at any rate, Tito gets a flight with his courier airline to take some folks up to Prudhoe Bay which is up/over some mountain ranges, I understand, and so on the way BACK to his home base, he flips through a mountain valley they said to avoid, because it's known as dangerous.....

but being a kid of maybe 25, he is invincible.....NOT....

took them 6 months to get his remains off the mountain due to weather....

120 mph into the mountainside, last turn through the canyon, and he missed it....so the story went.....

I attended the Quaker meet/wake for him.....

Sorry but that shit hurts to this day.....he had taken my son for a ride, in a stunt plane....Satabria....out of Monkey Co. Maryland airpark....~25 years ago....

Definitely had their guardian angels flyin' point on that one.

Sorry to hear about Tito's demise, though.
