In 98 I bought a brand spankin' new Riviera. The thing cost $33k. More than a Park Ave. Three years later I dumped it.

Trade in value? $17k. That was the last time I bought new. EVER.

There is no doubt, that transaction was the dumbest move I have ever made buying and selling cars.

Buy a brand spanking new 94 red Z71 Silverado short box, trade it in for the black "I wanna be an Eldorado, but can't" Riviera, only to trade IT in on a used blue 94 Silverado.
