Tree #2

Dear God, this one was tougher. It's 4-6 feet taller and has never been trimmed properly.

This took me 2 full days, maybe a total of 8-10 hours to get to this point, and it's not done. My 24' ladder is 20 years old, has no feet, and was starting to separate when I was on it. This tree is 6+ feet taller than the middle one. I ended up getting a brand new 28' ladder to replace to 24 and that helped a ton. I also bought a hatchet to get the mess off of it. I still have to go back up and remove the brown pods in the middle.

Add in an active lightning storm, and other nonsense, but this is the best this tree has ever looked. You can see the one on the right in this pic, and now I need to finish that one off like these two. More axe and more ladders. Woot.

The "guy" has trimmed all 3 for the last 3 years and they looked like shit. I was never able to pay someone to do them properly. Now they are done properly. If I could have found someone, it likely would have been $300/tree minimum.

While my body still works, I prefer to do that type of work myself and save the money.

I quit doing ours myself after finding out there's a couple of guys here who will do it for $25/tree, and they do it right. They can't speak much English, but who cares.
