390 mile round trip? You forgot the 190 extra miles for some of us.
Thanks for the trip Kevin. Great spending the day with you and Damon, meeting the boys at Va Speed, and Cobra4B. I'm not one easily impressed, but I was blown away! That place is like a Chucky Cheese for big boys. To get that kind of "unbroken in" power, from an NA motor that is as quiet and mild at idle as the 427 is, is unheard of. Talk about your ultimate sleeper! I couldn't stop giggling every time I thought about it. When the cruiser is ready to be picked up, give me a yell, and I'm there!

And 100K left over for more mods.
Although, I heard a rumor that Kevin was done modding the Cruiser. Probably just internet BS.......

A little news from Shawn at VA Speed.
UPDATE:after a few more dyno pulls we did manage to raise the vacuum reading from .7 to 1.0 in. vacuum.and gained a couple hp but nothing to talk about. We are just fighting a losing battle with this intake restriction.Going to sawp out the cam and see what happens-probably nothing great due to the intake, but we have high hopes. |

Stock motors have a lot more leeway as far as just bolting misc. intakes, headers, throttle bodies, etc. and still making more power. When you're at the stage Kevin is, with his motor build, it's a little more difficult than just saying, "Let's just bolt on this intake." So many factors to consider. They'll get it figured out, as far as cam and intake, and then.......LOOK OUT! He'll be eating C6 Z06's for breakfast, ZR-1's for lunch, and exotics for dessert!
