I hear ya. A couple weeks ago it took me an hour and a half to get from Redondo to Santa Monica.

I've always noticed two things about the difference between the SF Bay Area and the LA area. In the bay area, if you ask someone how far it is between point A and B, they respond in miles. In LA they respond in time.

The other thing is in LA when you mention the number of a freeway, you preface it with the word "the". as in the 10 or the 101. In the SF Bay Area, you just say the number. There used to be a columnist in the SF Chronicle named Herb Caen, and he said this was done in LA so they could put an expletive in front of the freeway number. As in I was stuck in traffic on the f'in 10 for hours.

The only possible comeback I have is that last month I went to SoCal with my Dad and brother and played six rounds. That's Dad and Bruce, the only guy I know who shot back to back hole in ones one the same hole. We were at Black Gold in Yorba Linda.

Would be more entertaining than the current offering.

Not the largest show in the West, but they'll have 60,000+ people exhibiting from more than 100 countries. That's a lot of booked rooms nearby.

I'll see what I can get. Plenty to choose from as long as I'm willing to drive a bit.

How safe is Anaheim? Will I be ok jogging around our hotel location (we are staying at a holiday in express)? Keep in mind I live in downtown Miami so my definition of safe is skewed.
