Default Grilling in the Snow (Beef Porn)

So I figured since I'm stuck in the house while it snows, watching movies all day, I might as well grill some steaks.

Filet mignon wrapped in bacon and marinated with my favorite spices.

Waiting for the grill to reach 700 degrees. Took about 10mins

Steaks going on.

Zoey playing in the snow.

Waiting to flip them.

Flipped and almost done. We like steaks medium. Edit: the steaks are not burnt like the pic would indicate!

Letting them rest for a few minutes to redistribute the juices

Ready to grub!!

My buddy and I are building a table for my egg next weekend. Below is what it's basically going to look like... but with a few changes.
The below pics are courtesy of Naked Whiz.com. That is where I got the plans

I'll be back in a little while with pics of homemade cookies my wife said she's going to make.

Damn, bro! I haven't had a good steak since last November! You could have invited me! That's a cool setup with the grill. Very nice!

Your pup looks to be having a great time in the snow. But the guy in the yellow house behind you has a serious heat loss issue. That boy needs some insulation in that attic!

Very cool, looks delicious! I have some Ribeye's on the grill as we speak and the wife is makin her homemade french fries. For what it's worth, one of our dogs is also named Zoe.
Great minds think alike I suppose.

I went multi-cultural for dinner tonight. Had some boneless/skinless chicken breast soaking in buttermilk since last night. Made some home made chicken nuggets, egg drop soup, and rice with some fajita seasoning.

Of course fillet in bacon...yummmmm

It works as a tenderizer and adds a little flavor to it. It also helps the breading or flower stick

I did the "traditional" Snow Food, a big pot of Chili

Used Ground Pork and Turkey but hey with all the spices and peppers in Chili you could use Yak for the meat and who would know?
