Cool friend got a "new" car-- '55 Crown Vic
My friend Dave just agreed to purchase a restored '55 Crown Vic.

It's optioned pretty well and has about 1200 miles on it since the frame off restoration.

Always liked those. Beautiful restoration. The interior is especially nice. I bet that wasn't cheap. Better investment than a C7, though.

It wasn't inexpensive but it's done. All Dave has to do is keep it clean. ( not a problem for him )

His wife wants to drive it so he went on a search for a "correct" one with auto , power steering car and this one with factory AC came up.

He'll be all giddy at work tomorrow

Super nice. I wish I had the $$ laying around to afford one just like that, so I could give it to my dad. He had a 4-door one when he was in college, and always dreamed of getting the top-of-the-line 2-door Victoria some day. But, he was a school administrator, and by the time he took care of all of us, he never had enough money to get one. He's on retirement now, and certainly doesn't have the $$ for one, and I'd love to make that dream come true for him. Not feasable right now, financially though. Really nice restoration.

My friend had 3 of them plus many other cars.....had a stroke and was in a coma for years,his kids sold them all.....

In case you haven't noticed, the car market IS the truck market. The F150 outsells the largest selling car (Camry) by a margin of almost 2:1. Put another way, the Ram outsold the Camry by almost 50,000 units YTD.
