Can you help me with the math? Making homemade hand sanitizer.

I have 99.5% isopropanol alcohol to be mixed with aloe vera.
The suggested minimum alcohol content should be 70%.

All the Google search recipes show two thirds alcohol to one third aloe.
But isn’t that reducing the ratio below 70%?

My mind tells me it should be 7 parts alcohol to 3 parts aloe to equal 70%.
Is that the same as two thirds alcohol to one third aloe?

The one thing I miss about California is on NFL football days, first game is at 9 AM. Second game, noon. Evening game is 6 PM. Day complete by 10 PM. NFL is made for the West Coast. So, yes, we are 3 hours drunker than you are.

1/3 Aloe 2/3 alcohol (at least 70% IPA; over makes no difference)

Don't over think it. If you are making a big batch to fill small bottles, make sure it is very well mixed.

My company makes and sells it so I can tell you how simple it is.

Personally, when I have a batch from my office, I use some and add alcohol. I think the 23,1/3 is a bit slimy.

We are about to use glycerin and reduce the aloe. That may help the sliminess.
