It's most definitely the kneuter valve if the valve train has been properly adjusted.

They saying 1/2 turn after snug......I did about 1/4 turn, engine cold.....and my engine looks same as in those pix.....with roller 1.6 ratio rockers.....

Looking the same and being adjusted correctly are two different things.

You have to do this adjustment one valve and one cylinder at a time. when you just start to feel the push rods drag as you spin them by hand when tightening the rocker nuts, then you stop, do your 1/2 turn and lock them down.
