Not bad. Been busy with work, and as you've just read the Corvette's been dead, so I haven't had much to say. Been checking in daily though.... And yes, I've been lusting over Miatas again. There's one for sale two hours from me that I want BAD. LS, six speed and looks bone stock.. The dude has hit his head though. No matter how sweet and powerful $26k is not a good price for a Mazda..

Bobby, I think the posse needs to make a visit to see you and clock you over the head with something heavy. What, you don't like American muscle?

Maybe too much....If I had 26k to blow there'd be a C5 Z06 or an early C6 in my drive...not a Miata, no matter how powerful.

That Miata was the only foreign car I've ever owned. Wife and I were discussing a new family ride the other day. If we buy one it will at least have an American name...probably a Malibu or the like. Some of the deals on 2012's are pretty good..

I'd prefer a CTS-V but the wallet won't stand it, and the wife drives like a maniac anyway. Probably not a good combo.

It's been a hard fought battle with you, but it seems we may have just made the corner.

I'm subject to backslide.. but there ain't nothing like the sound and feel of a v8. One of our police cars at the capitol is an 07 Impala SS with only 45k. Don't care for the front wheel drive, but man that little devil will scoot.
We only use it to transport dignitaries. I've took it to triple digits a few times....

Default Update

Well we finally closed on our old house. But,,, I'll be damned if the door didn't get kicked in again and this time it could have been avoided, if the friggin closing would have happened when it was suppose to. We closed Monday and should have closed on Friday or sooner. The appraiser held it up, the underwriter held it up, the lender held it up, the closer held it up. Jesus, I hope I'm here till I'm gone this time.

Now,,,damn,,,,hallelujah!!!! I am glad it's over after 2 yrs and time to celebrate.

C5s are OK but that floor mat issue scares the hell out of me.

I thought there was a left/right issue also. The mere though of it is pretty overwhelming since the hardest thing I've ever done is a simple engine swap on the C4.

On a serious note, (I know Jon, you were being serious) we still own the other 40 acres connected to the old place and the new owners are very interested in it. Getting a land loan is not as easy as a home and we are not opposed to carrying the note. Have any of you guys done this before? Any knowledge or advice on the subject?

Seems to me a good idea to make sure of your rights as a noteholder and property owner regarding default of payment and eviction procedures if it comes to that. Too many stories of squatter's rights vs property owner's rights lately, whether it's a home or raw land.

You're right and I have heard that if a woman is pregnant it's almost impossible to evict. We've already decided to hire an attorney to draw up the note if we go that route.
